Shoe trends for 2015

Shoes...

We all need them...Well, I guess we do...Yes...Yes, we do. 

I'm not gonna walk around barefoot everywhere I go, stepping on people's spit and old gum...ICK!

So, we may as well do it in style, right? *thumbs up here*

Now, as many of you know, I am a self-proclaimed "slave to trend", but I DO have my standards! (C'mon!)

I have seen the shoe styles that are in this year and....well...There all over the board, in my opinion.

Some are just spot on cute. 

And others are just

I would like to preface the following shoe wear with the obvious...

Choose wisely.

If you have it in your budget to buy shoes for every occasion, then by all means, buy the outlandish looking stand out styles.

However, if you are on a shoe budget, I suggest being basic.

Choose styles and colors that you can wear with multiple outfits.

Get the most out of your money AND your shoes.

Think about what styles will carry you through to next year (or even the next after that) when making big money shoe purchases.

Also, and I'm just throwing this out there, think about whether you want to keep up with those toes before committing to the open toe dress shoes.

Nothing ruins a beautiful pair of shoes like toes that look like they should be scratching in the chicken yard. And yes, people WILL notice ;)

So, here we go...a few of the shoe trends for 2015. You'll notice, too, that some of the trends are mixed all in one; for example, a slip on mule with fringe...well played, trends of 2015...well played.

I am featuring a makeup artist who grabbed my attention on Instagram.

Vanessa Sanchez

Vanessa is 34 years old and has been a stay at home mom for 6 years now after working as a dental assistant for 15 years.

She has 2 beautiful children, 5 and 4 years old, and has been married to her best friend for 13 years now!

She's always had a love for fashion and makeup and decided to start an Instagram account as a hobby to share makeup tips and inspiring makeup looks.

She says, "I'm no professional, but I'm learning more and more each day and it's my absolute passion to see the transformation and art behind it all! I started doing makeup for friends and family and, hopefully someday, I'll be a famous makeup artist! (it's nice to dream, right!)"
